Chandler >> Biography

Chandler Canterbury was born December 15, 1998 in Houston, Texas, where he still resides full time with his family. He is is one of the brightest and intriguing young actors to emerge in recent years. With a subtle approach, vivid imagination, and incredible emotional range, Chandler is blossoming into one of Hollywood's most diverse talents.

He broke out into the entertainment industry with his first feature film shot in October 2006 in Austin, Texas called "Balls Out: Gary the Tennis Coach". Chandler plays the younger version of the main character and his real life brother, Colby, got to play his on-screen bully brother. They’re both featured in a flashback scene at the beginning of the movie.

From there Chandler has taken Hollywood by storm, all while remaining in Houston. In August 2007, he filmed a guest starring role in the CBS’s hit show, “Criminal Minds”. His brilliant performance as Eddie Cibrian’s son in the episode earned him a Young Artist Award.

After filming supporting roles in the Academy Award winning movie “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” with Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett, the Sci-Fi thriller “Repo Men” with Jude Law and Forest Whitaker, “Powder Blue” with Jessica Biel, Ray Liotta, Kris Kristofferson and Patrick Swayze, Chandler headed to Australia to film what has been his biggest role to date; Caleb in Alex Proya’s “Knowing”. The movie tells the story of John and his son, Caleb, who open a time capsule that contains some chilling predictions. Also starring in the movie were Academy Award winning actor Nicolas Cage and Emmy nominated actress Rose Byrne.

Not long after going back to the USA, Chandler booked the role of Jack in the psychological thriller “After.Life”. The story follows Anna, a young teacher caught between life and death, and Eliot, a funeral director, who appears to have the gift of transitioning the dead, but might be a psychopath intent on burying her alive. Chandler plays Jack, one of Anna's students who is deeply affected by her death, and hangs around the funeral home with Eliot, with whom he has an unspoken connection. Once again, Chandler got the opportunity to work with some big names; the movie leads are played by Liam Neeson, Christina Ricci, and Justin Long.

Canterbury recently wrapped a lead role in the Independent dramedy “A Bag of Hammers” opposite Rebecca Hall, Gabriel Macht, Carrie Preston, Jason Ritter, and Amanda Seyfried. Chandler plays Kelsey, a young boy who loses his mother and is taken in by two young con artists that grew up on the streets without any family.

There are not many 11-year-olds that can say they have played Brad Pitt, been kissed by Cate Blanchett, had Jessica Biel cry over them, been tucked in bed by Jude Law, gone to heaven with Ray Liotta, cried in Nicolas Cage’s arms, and have been trained to hold a real gun!
